Centro Digital File Naming Guidelines

Marriner’s, our programmatic media platform, Centro, requires that we change our digital file naming, so that creative assets accurately link to performance tracking in the platform. Effective immediately, we will implement this file naming guideline for all digital assets to maintain consistency and simplicity:

• Template: Project Number_Ad Size_Ad Message_CTA
• Example: 20-ABC-001_160x600_AddSmiles_MealIdeas

Current and Future Projects: When an asset is approved by Client legal, the Project Manager will submit a conversation to the designer to confirm/update the file name and save the asset is FFO. Always double check that the creative file matches the size in the name.

Past Projects: If assets are picked up for new media placements, the Project Manager will save a copy of the final assets in FFO into a new folder and rename the assets according to the new guideline. Note: Only Creative/Digital staff should change source file names, so that images, logos, fonts, etc. properly link to the source file. Project Managers will only rename jpg files in FFO.

Patrick will update the server guideline document in Office Data/I’m at Work/MMC Process. This does not apply to social, print ad or collateral files.
