Safety Plan

If an alarm goes off, whether for a full fire drill or for real, please proceed as quickly as possible to the nearest stairwell and exit on the bottom floor. Then gather in the grass area indicated in the attached image. Either Dawn or Susan G will be there holding a Marriner sign (see other attached image) so you can easily find us. The other one of us will do sweeps through the office to make sure everyone has gotten out safely and we’ll be the last to exit.

Other points of note:

• Elevators should never be used during drills or emergencies
• There are times when COPT will notify us of a fire drill exercise where we do not have to leave the building – we’ll be sure to let you know when those happen
• If people who sit near each other want to become “safety buddies” we’re all for it – the more we can look out for each other, the better!
• We recommend having Dawn and Susan G’s cell phone #’s saved in your cell phone in case you need to reach us urgently for anything – those #’s can be found in our WMJ In/Out status
