Marriner.com Website Graphic Asset Templates

PSDs for all the website things

Team,

With the Marriner website nearing completion, I’ve created
templates for all of the replaceable graphic assets on the site.  These
are sized correctly, have the right colors and guides and everything else so
you can just place your graphics in and save.

You should, in theory, be able to just place your graphic
assets in these files, resize and position and be done.

For now, please don’t make any JPGs or exported
graphics.  Simply copy the template into the working folder (listed below)
and rename with whatever specific asset you are working on, e.g.
work-asset-8-5x11-side-by-side-template.psd to
work-asset-8-5x11-side-by-side-dannon-whatever.psd and I’ll create the final
JPGs when finished just to confirm file sizes are appropriate.

The filenames are pretty specific so that there should
hopefully be little confusion once you review them.  Inside the files are
notes, such as to use vector for logos and place your assets for easy
resizing.  Some files, such as the home page hero, also have reference
layers to show where logos, text, buttons and other elements go so that you can
be sure your design works on the site.  These layers should be hidden
before export.  No headlines, copy, etc. should be in these files as the
site handles that.  The site also handles logo placement for the brand
heros and you’ll see a safe space marker for that in the overlay layer.
The site places the logo there dynamically.

For the actual work assets, there are a multitude of
templates, including a blank one.  Feel free to make these edge-to-edge as
the website will scale them appropriately.  There are a multitude of
templates with iPhones, iPads, iMacs, Macbooks and more to keep things
consistent and interesting.  Some have several angles.  As noted in
these files, please only use screenshots of the actual work and not any browser
windows or desktops or anything else, just the actual work.

There is a template for side-by-side print work, but feel
free to make additional copies using this one or the blank template for other
work that doesn’t fit in this style.

Please see me with any questions, I’d be happy to walk you
through it.  If there is anything missing or need something additional,
please ask.  Happy designing!
